Daniel @ MyPhone Dinagyang Party 2014

Ilonggo acoustic heartthrob Daniel Zedane returned to the stage this Dinagyang Festival via MyPhone Party last January 24, 8pm along Calle Real and Plazoleta Gay to thousands of Ilonggo crowd. Together with other Manila celebrities, artists and performers headed by Karen Reyes of Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition finalist, the event is the first of the 3-night event organized by MyPhone and Panay News. Last January 2013, Daniel considered his unexpected guesting and performance for MyPhone Party as his first big event wherein he performed cover songs and his original hit song "Seryoso." This year, Daniel returned bigger than ever and accompanied by his band Questune Prone as the opening act of the show. They performed popular cover songs and his brand new Ilonggo songs "Ginadamgo" and "Nabatyagan" complete with a full band performance. He entertained the crowd and gave then a treat with his own brand of pop-rock-funk style of music. The following night, he is still up to perform new set list of cover and original songs leading to the finale event on January 26, the highlight of Dinagyang Festival.

Daniel Zedane together with Bacolod City's new pop singer Jen Sanchez shot a music video for their collaboration Ilonggo song "Ikaw Lang" on December 22, 2013 and additional scenes in January 18 this year. The song is their first duet song which will be possibly released in local FM radio very soon. RSLPhoenix Music and Hampang Productions co-produced the music video with scenes in Iloilo City River Esplanade, Boardwalk and Molo Plaza to highlight the city's major tourism attraction. The music video is also another exciting concept as two lovers who got separated by circumstance and deeply in love with each other will meet in an unexpected chance. The music video will premier in Jen Sanchez's youtube channel in the last week of January. It is co-directed by Ronelo Sanchez Ladiao with Marxie de Silva as director of photography. Daniel joins Rising Star Karaoke Contest

 Ilonggo acoustic artist Daniel Zedane recently joined the Rising Star karaoke competition on its Iloilo City leg of auditions in time for the Dinagyang Festival. The audition is simple because the organizers placed a karaoke singing booth in Robinsons Placed  last December 2013 wherein auditioners and contestants are open to line up, choose from the song list, perform their songs while their performance are being recorded. The video clips are posted in their website and the public will have the chance to vote for their favorite contestants based in their recorded performance. Daniel performed the song "The Man Who Can't be Moved" by The Script and was voted 17th place after weeks of voting. The Iloilo City final performance was held on January 24, 4pm at Robinsons Iloilo wherein the top 20 were given the chance to sing their piece live once again. Though he did not win, still, Daniel was glad to participate in the competition because he was given the chance to share his talent. He is also thankful for the public support and voters who voted for his video online.

Daniel records soundtrack of PUTI Horror Short Film

Daniel Zedane together with rap group Metaphorhyme's front man Rodj Young and Capiz classical singing champion, Manueline "Beij" Garcia were chosen to record the theme song of "PUTI," the first stereoscopic 3D horror short film in the Philippines recognized and had its world premier at Cinekasimanwa Film Festival on December 13, 2013 at Iloilo Cinemateque produced by Hampang Productions. The Ilonggo song is entitled "Ngaa Bala" featured the vocals of Daniel and Beij in the chorus while Rodj took part in performing the rap verse. The song will tie-up with the launching of the full-length independent movie version of the film sometime this year. A music video will be produced to help promote the film and its music. The video attached above is the live performance of the song at Amazing Night variety show on January 17 at Tabucan, Cabatuan, Iloilo.

Daniel performs at Karay-a Arts Festival in Antique

Daniel Zedane was invited at KARAY-A ARTS FESTIVAL on October 27, 2013 to promote his music together with Bacolod pop singer Jen Sanchez. They performed their original songs and duet single "Ikaw Lang" at the event. Karay-a Arts Festival is an annual cultural and arts event in the Province of Antique that gathers different artists and performers from various provinces all over Western Visayas.
The event's finale unveiled the official music video of "Lagaw 'Ta (Experience Western Visayas) for the first time where Daniel is featured as one of the 30 music artists in the first tourism song of Region VI. Special thanks to Karay-a Arts Festival Director, Alex de los Santos and Rizza Estares and James Villabert co-owners of Cafe Amistoso for the warm accommodation during their stay.

This Dinagyang Festival 2014, catch Ilonggo acoustic heartthrob Daniel Zedane together other Manila-based artists and performers at MyPhone Dinagyang Party for 3 nights from January 24-26. Daniel will entertain the crowd with his original songs "Seryoso" and "Ginadamgo." He will also share his guitar playing expertise as he performs his favorite mash-up cover songs onstage. Last year, Daniel was also one of the performers in MyPhone Dinagyang Party where he mesmerized the crowd with his music. Daniel Zedane singing part in Lagaw 'Ta (Experience Western Visayas)



Ilonggo acoustic artist Daniel Zedane successfully participated in the first region-wide Department of Tourism Region VI theme song entitled "Lagaw 'Ta (Experience Western Visayas)" that gathered more than 30 music artists in one catchy song and music video. This is the very first time that a region-wide participated tourism song and music video was launched in Region VI. Daniel gladly shared his voice and his talent to pursue such inspiring project. For his part in the song, Daniel sang about "enjoying, embracing and the enticing beautiful tourism sites" of Western Visayas. In the music video with an on-location, on-site concept, Daniel shot his scenes in the progressive City of Passi as part of the Province of Iloilo. Daniel represented Passi City in the music video wherein his scenes took place in the biggest sugar milling company and the city's vast pineapple plantation. Daniel even had the chance to choreographed a dance move with the employees of the sugar milling company featured in the music video. On October 25, 2013, Daniel successfully participated in the launching of the tourism song in SM City Iloilo as part of Sights & Sound 2 event.

Since his introduction as a local acoustic artist in January 2013, Daniel developed his gift for music and confidence to entertain people in all the events he performed. He's a local artist who has already contributed a lot for the promotion of the regional culture, tourism and has inspired young artists to keep on believing in their dreams. This 2014, he is optimistic that he will continue his advocacy and inspiration to spread his music.
